Hi Dan Snr here, I too read the links Jnr posted and came to the same conclusion , maybe you will be better off staying with what you have. I do know with the DX7s (which I have) it is easy there is a setting in the radio where you just select lipo and you are done. Maybe you need to buy an up to date radio lol.

Happy landings

Mike

Mike,

I have my thirtieth birthday coming along soon, so shall await with baited breath. LOL

Today i shall try my luck in going up slope for third day in a row ;-), I love the lazy life. ;-).

Keep your crashes to a minimum

Dan

I came from the noisy side, I love the quietness of the slope.

I run all of my Tx's on Lipo of up to 2000Mah, these are mostly Futaba, but I used to run my DX7 on a two cell Lipo as well, this was all without any intervention inside the Tx's, the only thing to check is that they will fit in the case and they have a compatible plug and obviously you have the right balance and charging socket.

Just remembered I did modify the DX7 to a switching regulator to increase the battery life:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd9GHGtsd78 If anyone is interested I think I still have a couple of those regulators in the workshop.
