Ok I have owned my chippy for about 15 months now and, in that time (due in part to me still learning to stop crashing) it has just sat there in the rack waiting for me to make a start on it well, now I have, made a start that is (the crashes are getting fewer as well).

I have no idea of it's age or manufacturer and sadly I didn't think to photograph  it before I started (silly I know but hey), so as soon as I get a few moments I will take and upload a couple of the progress so far. Good news is the engine an O S max F X 61 starts and runs really well, just like the rest of the model needs a good clean & tidy up.

Ok, so here is my plan, first picture - drill top of crack to prevent spread then "v" out and fill with epoxy, sand flat,re-glass and job done, second picture - fill with filler, sand flat, re-glass paint when all the other jobs I am going to find are done.

Anyone has a constructive comment please feel free to share, as I think I might need your suggestions

Bulk out the epoxy with microballons its a lightweight filler designed for this sort of job, sands easily , but sets hard, and reduce's the weight of the repair, don't forget your Sainsbury's steak and kidney pudding dish.
